FRISCO, Texas – Texas A&M’s Vanessa Borovilos was named to the WGCA Player of the Year Watch List, the organization announced Thursday.
Borovilos is ranked No. 11 on the scoreboard rankings and No. 21 on the World Amateur Ranking. The Canadian has finished runner-up three times this year, including the last two outings at the SEC Championship and “Mo” Morial Invitational, and one victory at the Moon Golf Invitational.
Borovilos earned All-SEC First Team honors this season and tied for 11th at the 2026 Augusta National Women’s amateur. The Aggie also holds the record for the lowest round in U.S. Women’s Amateur history with a 9-under 63 in the second round of last year’s tournament.
The watch list features 12 of the best golfers in all of college golf and the winner will be named after the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad, California, May 22-27.
The Maroon & White and Borovilos are set to take part in the Waco Regional May 11-13 at the Ridgewood Country Club.
