More accommodation on offer for Ryder Cup in Limerick – at €11,000 for whole tournament

WITH hotels and other accommodation quickly selling out ahead of next year’s Ryder Cup tournament, plans for a new glamping village near Adare have emerged – with rates of up to €11,200 for people who want the whole experience.

Adare Glamping is offering what it describes as a “premium, festival-style glamping village” a 10 minute walk from the host village for the 2027 golf tournament.

Glamping is short for ‘glamorous camping’.

It’s a style of outdoor travel that combines the experience of being in nature with the comfort and amenities you’d usually expect from a hotel.

The service is being operated independently of the official Ryder Cup offering, with organisers of the tournament set to unveil an official camping site in the coming weeks.

What the company describes as its “most premium fully elevated” experience in its Champions Suite costs from €700 per person per night in its Champions Suite.

It’s described as being “designed for those who want the highest level of comfort and convenience, combining a spacious private setup with a real bed, furnishings, and in-tent electricity.”

“This is a true home-from-home experience within the energy of the Ryder Cup,” the firm added.

In that offer is a premium suite tent for two guests, inclusive of a real double bed with an electric blanket.

Among other things in the package are a full sofa and seating area is on offer, plus electriciy and a fully stocked mini-fridge on arrival.

Priority positioning within the glamping site is offered, plus access to hot showers, a pamper parlour and wellness area.

According to the website, the price for two people staying for eight nights around the tournament would come in at €11,200.

This would represent a check-in date of Sunday, September 12 and a check-out on Monday, September 18.

At the other end of the price scale, people who have caravans and camper-vans are being offered a stay for €56.26 per night.

“Wake up close to the action while enjoying a relaxed, comfortable setting with on-site facilities, food and coffee vendors, and a welcoming atmosphere throughout your stay,” Adare Glamping added in its marketing material.

Last month, an allocation of tickets only available to Irish residents sold in under an hour.

More than 150,000 people across the country had pre-registered for early access, with a limited number of tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis from 11am. General admission daily tickets will go on sale through a public ballot on June 3.
