Twelve Big 12 men’s golf programs were selected to compete in the regional round of the 2026 NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championships, setting a new Conference record. In addition, four individuals were selected for competition in the NCAA postseason.
The Big 12 selections were highlighted by 2026 Big 12 Champion Oklahoma State, which earned the No. 1 seed at the Marana Regional following its Conference-record 13th Big 12 title. The Cowboys were selected as a No. 1 seed for the ninth time since 2014 – the most in the nation. Oklahoma State is the defending national champion after claiming its 12th NCAA Division I Men’s Golf title in school history, and first since 2018.
Arizona State and Texas Tech each secured No. 2 seeds in their respective regionals, while Arizona earned a No. 3 seed and BYU was selected as a No. 4 seed. Cincinnati, Colorado, Kansas, TCU, Utah and West Virginia landed inside the top 10 of their regional fields, with Houston rounding out the Big 12’s selections with a No. 11 seed.
Four additional Big 12 golfers were selected as individuals; Baylor’s Jonas Appel heads to the Bryan Regional, K-State’s Alex Lindstrom plays at Corvallis Regional, while Iowa State’s Paul Beauvy and Zach May tee it up at the Columbus Regional.
The six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 18-20. Thirteen teams and 10 individuals not on those teams will compete at each of three regionals, while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals not on those teams. The top five teams and lone individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, Calif., which is slated to take place from May 29-June 3.
