  1. LIV will finish the season, but the league as we know it will dissolve after this year. The Saudi disruption league has officially crumbled and it will be folded into a settlement likely having the big names on LIV being used as leverage. I dont see any incentive for investors at this time with no major broadcast deal.

  2. Easiest answer of all time. LIV players should come back free of charge with zero suspension if they want. If it was any other world sport no one cares that they left it’s only the corniest 5 year old brains on the PGA tour that everyone makes fun of.

  3. LIV did itself zero favors by being on FS1 and FS2 most days. FS2 is 720p unwatchable and I would venture most people don't have that channel in the first place and good luck finding FS1 as well. If they had guaranteed FOX every Saturday and Sunday the ratings would've been better, PGA better? No but better than they were.

  4. 51:00 if they merged they were going to have to pay out a few billion to the current PGA tour players to do it. Rory and Scottie would have been in line for a billion each. Do that math out over the entire tour and all guys that played, it was probably a one time payout over 20 billion.

  5. It's clear that LIV the way it used to be is over. But if you take the tour below it, which is currently the DPWT, there is a huge gap to fill. The winners share of the Turkish Open last week was just under €400k. Let's call it $430k. And while it wasn't a signature event it also wasn't some alternate event. That is a far cry from the $4m first prize for LIV. Cut the current LIV purse by 75% and it's still way better than the DPWT if you can have a winners share of $1m. Can even go down to $750k. So there is room for something else that may even be able to support itself.

Thing to remember as well, the PGA Tour increases its purses so they can stop bleeding players to LIV, likely knowing it's short term until LIV goes away. After LIV is gone will the PGA Tour purses remain the same long term? Doubt it. Case in point they already have to cut the number of events almost by half because all those purses are not sustainable
