No. 5 Women’s Golf’s O’Keefe and Kim selected to Arnold Palmer Cup Teams

AUSTIN, Texas — Texas women’s golf’s Farah O’Keefe and Lauren Kim have been named to the 2026 Arnold Palmer Cup as the teams were announced today. O’Keefe will play for Team USA for the third time and Kim will play for Team International for the second time. 

O’Keefe was part of Team USA that won the Arnold Palmer Cup in 2024 and Kim part of Team International that emerged victorious in 2025. 

Texas head coach Laura Ianello will serve as Co-Head Coach for Team USA. 

The Arnold Palmer Cup will take place July 3-5 at Tralee Golf Links in West Barrow, Ireland. 

O’Keefe, the 2026 SEC Golfer of the Year is the No. 1 ranked player in women’s college golf and No. 4 on the world amateur ranking list. O’Keefe has won three collegiate events this season and finished in the top-10 in each of her 10 collegiate events. O’Keefe as the low amateur at the Chevron Championship on the LPGA tour and has secured a spot in the 2026 Curtis Cup for Team USA. 

Kim has finished in the top-10 in three of her last four events and a T12 finish at the SEC Championship. Kim was the runner-up at the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate and finished in seventh place at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate to help the Longhorns will that team title. Kim recently qualified for the 2026 U.S. Women’s Open, her third time qualifying for that LPGA major championship. 

The Longhorns will compete in the NCAA Regional Championship May 11-13 in Chapel Hill, N.C.

About the Arnold Palmer Cup

The Arnold Palmer Cup was co-founded by Arnold Palmer and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) and began at the Bay Hill Club & Lodge, Orlando, Fla., in 1997. The event is a Ryder Cup-style tournament featuring the top men’s and women’s university/college golfers matching the United States against a team of International players. The Palmer Cup has been played at some of the world’s greatest courses, including The Old Course at St. Andrews, The Royal County Down, Royal Portrush, Baltusrol, The Honors Course, Cherry Hills, and Lahinch. Beginning with the 2018 matches at Evian Resort Golf Club, the Palmer Cup is the only major tournament that features men and women playing side-by-side as partners.
