The PGA Championship is the only one of the four men’s majors that consists of only professional golfers. The field is filling up and time is running out for those not yet in the tournament to earn a spot.

The full field for the tournament, which runs May 14-17, will have 156 golfers. As of May 4, there are 125 golfers qualified.

This list includes Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson, both past champions who have earned a lifetime exemption into the championship. Both missed the Masters last month, and Woods is not expected to tee it up due to his rehab in Switzerland.

There are two final automatic exemptions into the PGA. Those will go to the winners (not already qualified for the PGA) of the Truist Championship and the Oneflight Myrtle Beach Classic, both taking place May 7-10. The PGA Tour reports that there are 10 golfers in the Truist field not yet in the PGA field: Chandler Blanchet, Tony Finau, Lucas Glover, Tom Hoge, Max Homa, Mackenzie Hughes, Sungjae Im, Kristoffer Reitan, Webb Simpson and Sudarshan Yellamaraju.

From there, to round out the field to 156, the PGA of America will extend beyond the top 70 in PGA Championship Points.

The PGA Championship is conducted by the PGA of America and has been played every year since 1916 (except for 1917, 1918 and 1919 due to World World I and 1943 due to World War II). Scottie Scheffler is the defending champion.
