Taughmaconnell golfer Isaac Oliver secured the Fairhaven Trophy after finishing two shots ahead of the field.
The foundations for this win were laid in the second round when Oliver carded a six under par round of 66, which was just one shot shy of the course record.
After gaining valuable experience when playing the course last year, the Taughmaconnell golfer produced a nerveless final round of two under par to hold off the challenge of Finland’s Migel Mutikainen, who was tied for the lead with Oliver heading into the final round.
The win is another boost for a talented golfer who has been snapped up by Michigan State University to compete on the American collegiate circuit in late 2027.
