Spielman Third, Alvernia Fourth at 2026 MAC Women’s Golf Championship

Kutztown, Pa. (May 3, 2026) – Alvernia senior Grace Spielman took third place to lead Alvernia at the 2026 MAC Women’s Golf Championship at Berkleigh Golf Club in Kutztown, Pa. on Sunday.

Spielman was one of a trio of Golden Wolves to earn All-MAC honors for their performances at this week’s MAC Championship. Spielman, a senior, took third place to earn First Team All-MAC honors to cap off her Alvernia career with her first All-MAC honor. Junior Cassidy Miksich finished in a tie for sixth place to earn Second Team All-MAC honors. Rylee Stenzel, also a senior, earned Second Team All-MAC honors with a ninth place finish to earn the third All-MAC honor of her career.

Alvernia took fourth place as a team with a two-day total of 787. York College ran away with the team title, taking first place by 49 strokes with a two-day total 653.

Spielman finished in solo third with a two-day total 165. Spielman carded an 84 on day two of the championship. Spielman posted a 5-over 40 on the front nine with two pars and a birdie on the par four eighth hole. She followed the front nine 40 with a back-nine 7-over 44. Spielman birdied the 18th for her final hole of collegiate golf.

Miksich finished in a tie for sixth with a two-day total of 168. Miksich carded an 84 on Sunday to follow her round of 84 on Saturday. Miksich shot a 10-over 45 on the front nine and improved with a 2-over 39 on the back nine. Miksich played her final four holes at 2-under, including birdies on both the 16th and 18th holes.

Stenzel finished in ninth with a two-day total of 169. Stenzel carded an 85 on Sunday to close out the championship. Stenzel carded a 5-over 40 on the front nine with a birdie on the par four fourth hole. She followed that with an 8-over 45 on the back nine with four pars. 

Caroline Martin was Alvernia’s final counting score, posting a two-day total of 285 to finish in 49th place. Martin’s day was highlighted by a bogey on the par three 12th hole over water.

York’s Victoria Jolakian took first place with a two-day total of 159. All four of York’s counting scores finished in the top five, and all five Spartans claimed a top-six spot. York will move on to represent the MAC at the 2026 Division III National Championship in Palm Desert, California.
