Shane Lowry closed with a bogey-free 65 to chisel out a top-30 finish at the Cadillac Championship and boost his confidence for the US PGA Championship.
In his last start before heading to Aronimink next week, he missed just two greens in regulation and rolled in over 100 feet of putts to finish on six-under at Trump National Doral, 13 shots adrift of runaway winner Cameron Young.
Young shot a final-round 68 to seal a wire-to-wire six-shot win from Scottie Scheffler with Lowry tied for 23rd ($167,143).
He’ll be joined in Pennsylvania by Sweden’s Mikael Lindberg, who secured his first DP World Tour win and qualified for the US PGA by winning the Turkish Airlines Open in Antalya.
Lindberg shot a three-under 69 to win by two shots from Daniel Rodrigues and Guido Migliozzi on 10-under at National Golf Club in Belek and top the Asian Swing Rankings to earn his spot at Aronimink, alongside Bernd Wiesberger and Jordan Gumberg.

“I felt dizzy and I felt like I want to throw up,” an emotional Lindberg said. “It’s a dream come true, really. I’ve been dreaming about this for so many years.”
It was a day to forget for Italy’s Gregorio de Leo (26), who was a shot off the lead when he was forced to turn a par-three at the 11th into a four after being handed a one-shot penalty.
A referee informed him he’d exceeded the allowed time of 50 seconds by more than 30 seconds while he was being monitored, and he shot 72 to finish tied seventh, four behind the winner.
In Mexico, Nelly Korda became the youngest American since Nancy Lopez in 1980 to win 18 LPGA titles, cruising to a four-shot victory at 17-under in the Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba.
Kildare’s Lauren Walsh shot 75 to tie for 61st on five-over while at the LET’s MCB Ladies Classic – Mauritius, Elm Park’s Anna Foster shot 68 to tie for 21st, nine strokes behind Denmark’s Smilla Tarning Soenderby.
At Cork, Castleknock’s Paul Coughlan won the 100th C20 Group Munster Stroke Play by two shots on 10-under as Roscommon’s Olivia Costello won her second Flogas Irish Girls’ Amateur Open by seven shots at Corrstown.
