The President of the United States has officially flipped his allegiances in the PGA Tour vs. LIV Golf battle.
Early on in the PGA Tour vs. LIV Golf battle, President Trump – who is known for his love of golf – encouraged top players to take the payday. He called the PGA Tour “stupid” and “disloyal,” while urging PGA Tour players to “take the money” and join LIV Golf.

However, his opinion has since changed.
With LIV Golf no longer being funded by Saudi Arabia, President Trump is encouraging everyone to come back to the PGA Tour.

President Trump is hoping that everyone will be able to return to the PGA Tour and form the best tournaments possible.
One of President Trump’s courses – Trump National Doral’s Blue Monster course – is currently hosting a PGA Tour event.
“I do believe that all of the golfers should be playing – the great golfers – should be playing against each other,” Trump said. “I want to see Rory (McIlroy) playing Bryson DeChambeau. I want to see ‘Big’ Jon Rahm playing Scottie (Scheffler). They’re great players. There’s something nice about all of the players playing together.

“Now they’ll all be accepted by the tour … they’ll all be back on tour and it’ll be great.”
PGA Tour players want penalties for golfers who return
PGA Tour players think that golfers who took the big payday from LIV Golf only to return to the tour should be penalized, per the Palm Beach Post.
“I think there should be something,” Brian Harman said following his first round at the Cadillac Championship.
“I will never begrudge anybody for making a decision for the betterment of their career, their life, whatever that may be,” Tequesta’s Lucas Glover said. “But do I think they should abide by the pathways back and pay the same penalties that the previous people have paid. Absolutely.”

It’ll be interesting to see how the PGA Tour handles things.
