An 18-hole round of golf works up an appetite.
Some of Butler County’s golf courses are none for more than just the quality of their greens, too, and offer different food and drink options to get you through a round or to celebrate a new low score.
Here are some of the area’s best, favorite or most unique options at four of the county’s clubs and courses.
Conley Resort & Golf Club

Conley has your usual golf course hot dog, but has plenty of other options, as well, ranging from wraps, salads, sandwiches and snacks.
“We have a killer fish sandwich and fries, available all season long,” assistant general manager of Conley and Suncrest Golf & Grille Josh DeNinno said. “And the Tony Bowl — coined by one of our regulars — our pizza rolls (in an egg roll) with our meatballs and sauce.”

Course general manager Terry Rottman is partial to the Hot Italian Sandwich and a Water Haward drink. The ingredients to the drink aren’t a secret. Just ask, Rottman said.

The famous “Kren-dog” hot dogs are a wonderful in-between nine snack.
“It’s just a Nathan’s hot dog with all the dressings — ketchup, mustard and relish,” said course owner Eric Krenitsky. “It’s very popular and took on its nickname about 30 years ago.”

Suncrest has quick “grab-and-go chicken sandwiches and burgers at the turn, which you rarely find at a golf course,” DeNinno said. “Our bar is cozy and one of my favorite spots to hang after a round.”
Suncrest has a growing beverage program and always has beers rotating on tap.
