FAIRFIELD, Calif. – San Diego’s Ian Maspat is the 2026 West Coast Conference Men’s Golf Individual Champion with a 15-under 198 for three rounds as stroke play concluded at the West Coast Conference Men’s Golf Championship Saturday afternoon at Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif.
San Diego, Pepperdine, Augusta and Oregon State each advanced to Sunday’s match play semifinals as the top four teams at the conclusion of stroke play. San Diego earned the No. 1 seed, finishing 22-under in stroke play. Defending West Coast Conference Champion Pepperdine is the No. 2 seed after concluding stroke play 18-under. Augusta is the No. 3 seed after finishing stroke play 13-under, and Oregon State is the No. 4 seed after finishing 12-under in stroke play. San Diego will meet Oregon State and Pepperdine will face Augusta in the semifinals. The winners of those matchups will meet in the match play championship Sunday afternoon to determine the West Coast Conference Team Championship.
Maspat, who led after Friday’s two rounds, finished on top with a 5-under 66 in Saturday’s third round. He was challenged by Oregon State’s Nguyen Anh Minh, who started off Saturday’s round with five birdies on his first seven holes. Anh Minh moved into a tie for first with Maspat at one point, but Maspat responded with a birdie on the 13th hole to retake sole possession of first place and the San Diego golfer finished strong to capture the individual title. Anh Minh finished the day with a 6-under 65.
Maspat finished with a 15-under 198 (68-64-66) to win the conference individual title by three strokes over Anh Minh’s 12-under 201 (69-67-65). Maspat totaled an eagle and 18 birdies over the three rounds of stroke play.
Seattle U’s Jacob Kang finished third at 6-under, while four players – Mahanth Chirravuri of Pepperdine, Brady Siravo of Pepperdine and Dylan Boenning of Washington State – tied for fourth at 5-under.
San Diego, which opened the day two strokes back of leader Pepperdine, surged into the lead early in the round and finished the round 8-under as a team to take the top spot by four strokes with a 15-under 830 (282-272-276). Along with Maspat, Cooper Humphreys led the Toreros with a 4-under for his round. He recorded four birdies on the front nine and six total in the round to finish tied for 16th on the individual leaderboard.
Pepperdine finished 2-under as a team on the day and 18-under for the three rounds with a score of 834 (277-280-282).
Augusta, led by Pieter Rossouw’s 4-under in Saturday’s round, finished 2-under as a team for the round to hold third with a three-round score of 13-under 839 (277-280-282) in stroke play.
Oregon State, who was in last place after Friday’s opening round score of 6-over, rebounded with a score of 8-under in the second round to move up to sixth place Friday afternoon. The Beavers carried their second-round momentum into Saturday’s final round of stroke play with a 10-under to move into fourth place and earn the final spot in match play with an 12-under 840 (290-276-274). Along with Anh Minh’s 6-under for the round, Rylan Johnson finished 3-under and Collin Hodgkinson was 2-under for the day to lead OSU.
