TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida A&M University’s men’s golf program will tee it up against some of the nation’s top Historically Black College and University programs when the 2026 PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship gets underway May 4-6 at The Park in West Palm Beach, Fla.

The Rattlers are among six Division I men’s teams invited to compete in what has become the most culturally significant championship in collegiate golf — a three-day, 54-hole event designed to spotlight competitive golf at Minority-Serving Institutions while connecting student-athletes with career pathways in the golf industry.

Founded in 1986, the championship has served for four decades as a pipeline for underrepresented talent in a sport that has historically lacked diversity at every level. The event pairs elite competition with professional development, offering participants exposure to career opportunities across the business of golf and beyond.

FAMU will compete in the Men’s Division I team bracket alongside Alabama A&M University, Alabama State University, North Carolina A&T State University, Prairie View A&M University and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. The Division I field will open competition in the afternoon wave on Monday, May 4, with tee times beginning at 12 p.m., before rotating to morning starts on Day 2.

The Park, a premier public golf destination in West Palm Beach, will host all rounds of competition. Practice rounds are scheduled for Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3, with an official shotgun start set for 8:30 a.m. Sunday.

The final-round tee sheet will be adjusted to ensure tournament leaders finish during live broadcast windows, giving top performers maximum national exposure.

The 2026 championship is presented by Chase and Kohler, with supporting sponsorship from CastleOak Securities and the Palm Beach County Sports Commission. Product support is provided by MiiR, SCNS Sports Foods, StrackaLine, Titleist/FootJoy and Ze.

For the Rattlers, the trip to West Palm Beach represents another opportunity to compete on a stage that aligns with FAMU’s institutional mission of developing well-rounded student-athletes prepared for life after competition.

Competition updates will be available through FAMU Athletics and the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship’s official channels throughout the week
