ANNAPOLIS, Md. – A pair of Navy women’s golfers were named to the 2025-26 Academic All-Patriot League Team, the league office announced Friday, as junior Keira Howard and sophomore Vivian Cressman were two of the six league golfers named to the squad.

This marks Howard’s second-straight season earning academic all-league honors and Cressman’s first time receiving the distinction. Cressman is also the sixth golfer in program history to take home academic all-league laurels.

An All-Patriot League First Team selection last week, Howard sits third on Navy with a 77.96 scoring average across 25 rounds, competing in nine events and recording one round at or below par. Tying for the Mids’ top finisher at the Magnolia Collegiate being second on the team at the El Campeon Collegiate, Howard posted her first top-10 finish of the season when she placed seventh at the Patriot League Championship.

Academically, Howard holds a 3.65 cumulative GPA as a mathematics with economics major, being named a 2025 WGCA Scholar All-American and twice receiving a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll. She has also earned distinction on the Academy’s Superintendent’s List three times and as well as three appearances on the Commandant’s List and one Dean’s List nod.

Also being named to the All-Patriot League First Team last week, Cressman holds the second-best scoring average on the team at 77.76, golfing in nine events and posting two rounds at or below par. Being the Mids’ top finisher by placing 11th at the Nittany Lion Invitational, Cressman also garnered two top-10 placements, taking ninth at the Lehigh Invitational and then tying for the runner-up spot at the Patriot League Championship.

Academically, Cressman holds a 3.92 cumulative GPA as an operations research major, being honored as a 2025 WGCA Scholar All-American and receiving a spot on the 2025 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll last spring. She has also earned distinction on the Academy’s Superintendent’s List three times and as well as three appearances on the Commandant’s List.
