We are delighted to announce a partnership between two Airdrie sporting institutions – Airdrieonians FC and Airdrie Golf Club.
The partnership will allow Diamonds players the opportunity to use the much-loved woodland course at Airdrie, and in return we are delighted to announce that Airdrie Golf Club will be the host venue for the Airdrie Community Trust/Airdrieonians Golf Day!
We are currently in discussions with the club regarding the details of our inaugural Golf Day, which promises to be an experience to remember. Further information will be announced in due course.
Airdrieonians Commercial Director Gordon Watson was delighted to partner with the Golf Club and open up the ability for the players to use the club for recovery and relaxation away from the pitch.
He said: “It has always been in my thoughts to have a golf day that is shared between the Community Trust and the club.
“Airdrie Golf Club have been fantastic to work with and I know they will be an ideal venue for the golf day.”
Airdrie Golf Club Captain Ewan Hutcheson was also delighted with the new partnership, saying: “When Gordon came to us we were very keen to partner with the football club and give the players some access to the course.
“It will be great for the club, and it will also allow us to promote our club and facilities to the local football fans.”
