Manhattan High boys’ golf placed fourth Tuesday at the Firekeeper Invitational, shooting a team score of 310 at Firekeeper Golf Course, hosted by Washburn Rural.
The Indians finished behind champion Shawnee Mission East (287), Blue Valley North (306) and Olathe South (307) in a strong field on a longer, more challenging course that played to a par 72.
Charlie Haney led the way for Manhattan, tying for third individually with an even-par 72. Cooper Graham also turned in a strong round, shooting 72 to tie for seventh.
Harvey Lister followed with an 81, placing 40th, while Graham Braxmeyer carded an 85 to finish 49th. Cade Cochran added an 89 (60th), and Will Carpenter shot a 93 to place 64th.
The Indians have a quick turnaround to the links, competing Wednesday at Village Greens Golf Course, hosted by Seaman.
