Donald Trump’s golf course in Scotland has been targeted by environmental activists in a protest over the President’s opposition to wind energy amid the ongoing war with Iran

Activists staged a mock “wind farm” on one of Donald Trump’s Scottish golf courses to protest his stance against wind energy.
According to Greenpeace, golfers arriving at Trump Turnberry in Ayrshire were met with model wind turbines placed on the 4th green, alongside a sign reading “Choose wind, dump Trump.” Three activists carried six turbines, each about 10 feet tall, across the beach before installing them around the green early Monday. As golfers neared, the group quickly dismantled and removed the structures to avoid disrupting play.
Lily‑Rose Ellis, a climate campaigner for Greenpeace UK, said: “Donald Trump wants to keep us as lifetime members of his golf club, where every time he starts an illegal war, bills go through the roof while his fossil fuel backers make billions.” It comes after FOX News was halted for breaking announcement but it’s embarrassing for Trump.

She added: “But we don’t need to stay stuck in his sand trap — the renewables Trump hates are the best insurance policy against the chaos he’s unleashed. Wind and solar farms built since the start of the Ukraine war have saved us seven million pounds every day since Trump attacked Iran and drove gas prices back up again.
“More clean energy that doesn’t rely on the Strait of Hormuz or Russian pipelines can save us money, boost our security and tackle climate change. It’s a hole in one.”
Last Tuesday, President Trump posted on social media urging Britain to “DRILL, BABY, DRILL!!!” in the North Sea and calling for “NO MORE WINDMILLS!” The conflict between the United States and Israel is continuing to affect gas prices largely driven by supply disruptions and instability in the Middle East
Greenpeace said polling indicates that around two-thirds of Scottish voters (65%) believe Britain should not follow President Trump’s calls to expand oil and gas extraction, and should instead prioritise investment in renewable energy.

The protest comes just days after the White House was forced to clarify Trump’s stance on Iran’s World Cup spot. An official has said he “expects” Iran to travel to the US after receiving assurances from FIFA president Gianni Infantino, despite ongoing geopolitical tensions.
The country’s participation in this summer’s tournament had been in doubt following conflict. However, Infantino has insisted Iran will take part, emphasizing that qualified teams should be allowed to compete.

Earlier this year, Trump said Iran would be welcome at the tournament but advised against traveling, citing concerns over the team’s safety. He said: “The Iran national soccer team is welcome to the World Cup, but I really don’t believe it is appropriate that they be there, for their own life and safety.”
Now Infantino has stated that Iran will proceed to travel to the United States for the World Cup. Speaking at CNBC’s Invest in America Forum, he said: “The Iranian team is coming for sure, yes. We hope that by then, of course, the situation will be a peaceful situation.”
