Is Jordyn Tyson the most talented wide receiver in the 2026 NFL Draft?
Steve Smith Sr. goes to the tape to break down a player who, when healthy, is arguably the best playmaker in this entire class. His film is pure electricity, showing the kind of suddenness and vertical threat that NFL defensive coordinators lose sleep over. But Steve isn’t just looking at the touchdownsāheās looking at the durability.
In this episode, Steve and James Palmer dive deep into the injury concerns that have followed Tyson throughout his collegiate career. Steve highlights a specific, dangerous trend on film: a lack of field awareness and an inability to “go down” at the right time. Steve explains why this “warrior” mentality might actually be Tyson’s biggest hurdle to a long NFL career.
James shares what heās hearing from NFL coaches front offices regarding Tyson’s medical reports and why his draft stock is the biggest “wildcard” of the year.

Giants at 10? Nabers & Tyson š„š„š„
He has a combo of AB, Obj or as you said JJ
giants should sign steve smith as a coach or scout please hes the best and keeps it 100
Denzelle Boston is the NFL receiverā¦Chris Carter ish and or Mike Evanās ish
Jordyn Tyson's contested catch rate was 43 percent last season. As a comparison, Lemon was 66, Boston 79, oh and Garrett Wilson is still great.
No YAC, doesn't play to his size, injury prone.
Tyson reminds me of Travis Hunter! Dude has had 1000 yards and gets injured in the same year! Crazy stuff. I truly believe that he will be a superstar. Him and Shedeur would be scary together.
He appears to dance unessasarally. He makes a move, and before the defender can react to the first move, he is already into the second move. So the defender never gets to react to the first move. He needs to pause and wait for the reaction. Just add a coma, so to speak.
Lmao, not very strong he almost broke the WR bench press record.
"the big 3" is the media darlings crowned them a year ago. nobody dared to move them. when we get closer to the draft, the serious analysts get into it. jordan tyson is the only universal consensus no.1. then there are 7 guys u can make a case for each one of them to be 2.
How someone falls tells you everything
18:58 James wasnt talking about Superman but Steve doubled down ššš
He is the best, to me. No injuries and I'd love him at 11 for Miami. I'm taking him over Carnell Tate every time.
I hope he goes to the patriots
Heās a bigger Diontae Johnson
Yes we love garret Wilson for infinity !
Take a good look at the quarterbacks that threw to Garret Wilson and that will tell you the whole story.
He's not very strong??? 26 bench reps! Man go sit down.
"Break guys off" is crazy!! š
20:45 Ayooo āøļø š
Steve you said ahh Rocky Road. That by definition is a hesitation. š

Giants will pick him at 10
As a jets fan who watches every single Garrett Wilson snap⦠if you put him with Seattle with Sam I promise you heās putting up that same exact production as JSN. His shiftiness and ability to separate is up there with anybody. If Tyson can be healthy and play anything like GW then thereās your WR1 but I donāt trust him to stay healthy thatās just me Iād let another team draft him
He pulled a hamstring . He tried to comeback and reaggrevated it . Thats not a huge problem
Josh Cameron next please!!! He's the best kept secret of the draft.
I feel like Tyson looks and plays much bigger. He looks 6'4, 225. He plays like he's speedy like Olave.
He gets injured ALOT
He reminds me of Brandon Lloyd, so no.
I watch a lot of sports shows but I love smiths informed opinions more than others I donāt agree with all of them but he always explains his why of his opinions I feel this way because of this and every one doesnāt do that he doesnāt like the Tennessee wr I love him and old miss wr I think heās sleeping on them but I canāt argue with his why love the show Steve šš¾
Love Steve man. Completely unbiased. This is his true passion. Him and Gruden are the best at this. Steve will give you an honest scouting report of all pro's and con's. I appreciate it and it's hard to find great content like this.
Really high pitch noise going on when Steve speaks
To be the best you have to be on the field. Durability is a massive question.
Steve Smith is a menace.
This history about the pick 6 feels real, those things happen for sure.
I want my Saints as far away as possible of Tyson.
I could be a fool in some yrs, but dont want the risk at 8 overall
Palmer has some serious unwarranted vendetta towards Tyson. Itās weird
Steve smith is a goat and I respect his analysis on any wr , he hasnāt missed
Jalon smith went early second
When they say he isnāt strong what sort of strength are they referring too? Because he benched 26 reps at the combine.
Excellent podcast
Not too much on Garret Wilson heās nice like that heās pretty much on the trajectory like terry mclaurin lowkey
