Mississippi native to compete in 2026 Masters Tournament

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – A PGA golfer from Mississippi will compete in professional golf’s crown jewel, The Masters.

After making his Masters debut in 2025, Hattiesburg native Davis Riley will look to make history in his second start.

He is the first Mississippi golfer to qualify for back-to-back Masters since Jim Gallagher Jr. did so in 1991 and 1992.

Riley made that cut last year and finished in a tie for 21st place, the best finish by a Mississippi native at Augusta National in 34 years.

He is the lone Mississippi representative in the tournament this year.

The Masters will take place from April 9 to April 12.
