In today’s video, we’re diving deep into the limited edition lineup from Vice Golf and putting them head-to-head in a full performance review you won’t want to miss.
We’ve got three very unique golf balls on the course:
The standard Vice Pro (white) as our control
The eye-catching Vice Pro Moon Rock
And the brand new, ultra-unique Vice Pro Tan
This isn’t just a quick overview—we’re putting these balls through a full real-world test to see how they actually perform where it matters most.
From driver distance and ball speed, to iron consistency, and especially short game spin and control, we break down exactly what separates these models. Do these limited edition finishes impact performance at all, or is it purely cosmetic? And more importantly… is one of these actually better than the others?
The Moon Rock brings one of the most unique visual designs we’ve ever seen on a golf ball, while the Tan model introduces a completely different look that stands out in a big way on the course. But looks only go so far—so we’re here to find out if they can back it up with real performance.
If you’ve been curious about:

Fun video, just wanted to add that the new Snell balls are out
glad i stumbled across this current Vice Pro review. I appreciate Vice creativity but I am old school. I am a 16 handicap, I have an 85 mph driver swing, have been gaming Pro Airs (white) for the last 2 years and am in the midst of a Pro / Pro Air field test. As of now, the Air seems to be winning. I’ve had repeated problems getting reliable deliveries from Vice. I blame FedEx but it is all part of my Vice experience. Can you suggest a ball or two to replace the Pro Air? i prefer urethane and softer feel ( which I think the Air is). thanks.
The moonrock really doesn't surprise me but I would figure the tan and white to be more similar. Even the white ball is painted.
I use the Vice Pro Tracer and love it. I wonder if the paint on that causes different compression and feel.
Pretty sure James Robinson played a few holes with the Moon ball awhile back. Don't remember how it went, but there you go 🤙
Just novelty balls. Stick with no flash if you wanna get that cash.
Another great review nick.
Happy Tan maybe the ugliest golf ball I have ever seen
Vice pro Jr. may be the best ball they sell but most players stay away from it and its lower costs to boot, go figure, pride and ego are something to behold
I feel like vice is a company that should have just stayed in their lane. Once they started making golf clubs, shoes and other stuff their golf balls suffered
Good stuff Nick ! Can’t say Vice isn’t afraid to get creative in designs & colors.
I use to love the tour but have definitely seen a difference in the last couple of years switched out to legato and Honma d1
The timing of this video is spot-on, Nick! As a Vice Ambassador, I have lots of different versions of Vice Pro/Plus/Air golf balls. I usually game the Pro Plus, and it seemed like the Tracer felt a little softer off the club face than other models…so I played with the Neon Green Pro Plus this past weekend – sure enough, it felt firmer. Galaxy Pro – firmer.
My Happy Tan Golfer box will be here tomorrow – I’ll send you the link to my Short when I post it. 😊
I have to admit i have become a vice junkie. I order a dozen of every new limited release to add one ball to the shelf and then use the rest. except for the moon rocks, those are staying in the box lol. the after market price on those now is crazy!! almost $100 PER BALL! and i really hate i missed out on the cosmic balls really regret not ordering them when i had plenty of chances but at the time didnt like the idea of buying a dozen of balls i would never use but i broke that rule with the moon rocks and now the cosmic balls would go nicely next to the moon rocks.
The Tan with the alignment aid perpendicular to the white part of the ball seems like it would be a plus for putting.
The Tan also looks like Stewart Cink when he removes his hat.😄
Why produce high viz balls and then produce one you will struggle to find in shadows
Calibrated compression should not be that hard if there was a standard procedure. How much force at a certain travel. That thing you have does not account for different O.D.
Nick! Love Vice but you need to get your hands on the new Snell PR3 and PR4 balls! Curious to see if they have improved! Thanks for all you do!
Boy please show me that moon rock ball next time we play!
