Takeaways from the 2026 Masters with Trevor Immelman | The Fried Egg Golf Podcast

Following Rory McIlroy’s repeat at Augusta National, Andy Johnson is joined by 2008 Masters champion and CBS lead analyst Trevor Immelman to recap the 2026 Masters Tournament. Andy and Trevor discuss McIlroy’s sixth major championship victory and the path that led him to just the fourth back-to-back win at the Masters. They also highlight a runner-up finish from World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and how a middling Friday round likely prevented him from winning a third green jacket. The two touch on other top contenders from the week such as Cameron Young, Justin Rose, and Sam Burns before briefly looking ahead to next month’s PGA Championship at Aronimink.

  1. I thought the commentary in general was solid (Trevor, Nantz, Dottie… all solid) but they were put on the back foot by the direction, camera work, and tech issues (shot tracer errors, etc)

  2. When u say that cam young can't hold 15 green, think of tigers shot in 2019 when he started it way right and slung it effectively giving himself more green for the ball to corral with the slope and stay on the surface. Cam hit it dead str8
