Let not pay couches more. Why not stop hiring former AFL players who just want a pay package like they did when they were playing. And employ people how are life long couches who understand the game a lot better then some person who has lived life in a bubble from most of there life.
In the case of Essendon, I have a better idea. Pay them per win. The club would save a huge amount of money and Scott, with his merry band of inadequates, might get the hint and quit.
Everyone in the game is overpaid, hence why we pay a ridiculous amount for a ticket/beer/pie
Supporters and members will end up footing the bill for these already overpaid assistants through gate takings. If they can’t survive on $150,000 a year maybe they should see a financial,advisor.
Dump the overpaid Grand Final entertainment and use that money to reduce prices. That way, people who actually support the teams may be able to attend instead of those who go to the event to be seen and network. It is after all meant to be a football match – not a pop concert. Here is another suggestion – only those who have attended, say, 10 games involving the grand final teams during the year are allowed to attend.
Totally agree on the young fella Mac Andrew. He needs to step up his game, show more intensity and fight in every contest. We all want him to do well but he needs to be held accountable.

Here is another idea! Dump the women’s competition that loses $50 million per year and use that money to reduce ticket prices for all of the matches.
