We look at the hidden force guiding so many NBA plays. Not merely the impact of coaching in practice, before the game and during timeouts, but live-ball coaching, play calling, and the powerful effect of communicating during the game from the sidelines.

Shoutout to Adam Smith
The ultimate invisible hand is getting a good season record and making it deep into the playoffs for a big payday at end of contract.
The NBA Should Hire you part time or something, you remind me time to time why the game of Basketball is so beautiful
This is a fantastic video! I love the coaches angle of everything – keep these coming!!
give the coaches a loudspeaker
I really hope these things were considered for Coach of the year more, it's hard for us to tell at home sometimes but I think everyone should try to notice more
We need to show this to Shaq on inside the NBA claiming coaching does nothing important
Love that little clip of Pop at the end
IQ is the most underrated aspect of basketball
Ain't basketball awesome? I love this so much.
No Glenn rivers in this video?
Amazing video as usual
Don't let Shaq see this video😅
Boy if I had a nickel for any time it was, “..and, if Luka played any defense whatsoever,…”
Invisible hand like Kuroko
We gotta mic up coaches at all times. I got into F1 last year and being able to hear all communication between the athlete and team opens up so much analysis
Is there any Doc Rivers footage??? 😅
I'll certainly be paying more attention to the sidelines now. Thanks
Fucking awesome video. You should listen to some of John Danaher’s stuff on communication as a coach (he’s the greatest jiu jitsu coach of all time but also has a PhD in Philosophy).
Shaq seething in denial rn
This is terrific video. Wish the broadcast would let us listen to this stuff.
I'll say it again – the best Basketball channel on YouTubE!
Will Hardy is the like 3rd best player on the jazz too, crazy
You went crazy with this one! More content like this please. ESPN and SAS don’t know how to properly cover basketball
Would love some more videos on coaching, esp in the upcoming playoffs. Hard to grasp as a fan without any personal experience playing the game, you break it down so well!
i played player-coach on 2k14 for years, optimized my playbook and playcalled with Rondo 90% of half-court poss. i love bball xs and os.
Where’s the Darvin Ham clips?
Great lunch refresh pull
And here I thought you were gonna talk about most likely Nike paying the Refs for their especially hideous calls lately on especially Jokic and Steph.
oooh this has been my fave video of yours in a while. so cool. thank you!
Just goes to show you that spo is a top 5 coach ever. Shockingly he didn’t make this video , but for each segment he was the first coach that came to mind.
Except when Phil Jackson gets ejected from the game for complaining about Shaq not getting free throws. 😂
The thumbnail implying that every single play in the nba is masterminded by Joe mazulla is 🧑🍳 😘
Advanced metrics for coaches?
It's the communication on the floor that makes it such a beautiful game, something that I struggle with my teammates (they say shout too much)
More like this pls! 🔥
