WARREN COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) – A fire at Armco Park Golf Course destroyed golf carts and a storage barn early Tuesday.
The fire was contained to the cart barn located behind the pro shop. No injuries were reported.
“This is an unexpected setback, but our focus is on getting back up and running quickly,” said Matt Latham, executive director of the Warren County Park District. “We are grateful that everyone is safe and that the damage was limited to the cart barn portion of the facility. The pro shop appears to have minimal damage, and we’re moving forward with a plan to serve golfers again as soon as possible.”
Officials said electrical service to the barn has been isolated so power can be restored to the pro shop.
The park district is working to lease replacement golf carts and secure temporary storage as it prepares to resume operations.
The park district says the golf course will reopen Wednesday for golfers who walk or can bring their own carts.
