  1. I have a mini driver, but I use it when the driver is missbehaving (when D is slicing, M is still fadeing), or into the wind, or when there is water long. But hitting it off the deck is just as unrealistic as hitting D off of it. I feel like I would need it sitting up on a first cut to even have the idea.

  2. Shows a Bryson 3 wood shank when he literally won in South Africa a couple weeks ago off a bombing 3 wood shot out of the mud. I use a mini but saying a 3 wood is hard to hit is laughable. People replace the 3 wood because it doesn't fill a need. Unless you hit a really bad tee shot on a par 5 the only place you're hitting your 3 wood is off the tee anyway…Mini adds 10-15 yards to that shot.

  3. I know someone who was built for the mini driver like he hits it so well and can shape it so easily and just can’t hit it bad even if he gets a bad strike it still a good shot like the club was built for him

  4. It’s more dependent on the person, if driver doesn’t behave then dump 3 wood for the mini, and if you’re confident with driver, go for the 3 wood.

  5. The reason some pros are switching to the mini driver is because they never have to use a 3 wood off the deck due to their length. So they choose the better club off the tee. NOT because its easier to hit off the deck (seriously in what world is a mini driver supposed to be easier off the deck than a 3 wood).
