President Trump Gets Bad News On Possible Augusta National Membership

President Trump has gotten some bad news on possible membership at Augusta National.

The 79-year-old President of the United States loves to golf more than probably any other U.S. President in history. President Trump hits the golf course most weekends. He owns several prominent courses in the United States and around the world.

As the President of the United States, will he one day receive membership at the country’s most prestigious golf course, Augusta National, where The Masters are played?

It doesn’t sound like it.

Legendary golf expert Butch Harmon believes that there’s no chance President Trump will get membership at Augusta National.

“I think you can answer that yourself – because he’s Trump,” Harmon said about President Trump’s potential membership.

He continued, “I think he is who he is. He’s full of himself. He’s the type of person that I don’t think fits the profile of an Augusta member.

“I’ve known him most of my whole life, because his father was a member of Winged Foot [Harmon’s father, Claude, was the head professional], so I’ve known Donald pretty much my whole life.”

“What you see is what you get with him. And I don’t think his personality fits the membership at Augusta.”

President Trump’s politics wouldn’t be to blame

If President Trump doesn’t get membership, it’s not because of politics. Barack Obama and Bill Clinton have played the course.

It would be about his personality.

“I don’t think that (being president) has anything to do with it, because there’s been a lot of other presidents who played golf, and they’re not members.

“Clinton, Obama, they played golf. I think it’s just his personality doesn’t mix with that particular club. That’s as politically correct as I can be.”
