Phil Jackson recently was promoting his new book written with Sam Smith on the Top 75 NBA Players in the NBA. During an interview he touched on the Shock he felt when he found out about the comments from Scottie Pippen towards Michael Jordan.

The Chicago Bulls at that time was a joint venture between Jerry Krause and Michael Jordan. Everyone else were the employees. Why do you think they broke up the team after a three peat and dismissed Jackson as coach? The business relationship between Krause and Jordan ended. That was turning down money and potentially more titles. Hence, the reason for the Last Dance from Jorfdan's perspective. The perspective from the late Jerry Krause will not be known in our lifetimes. But everythiing about the Bulls at that time was about business relationships and not a normal team.
Fun fact. Scottie Pippen actually made more money in his NBA career than Michael Jordan did. Look it up. Is it MJs fault that Pippen blew all that money whereas he leveraged his own wealth into an empire ? Scottie got no one to blame but himself including losing his wife who prob also left him due to his weak as mindset.
If they weren't friends, then why did Scottie have MJ induct him into the hall of fame.

Of course Scotty feels some kind of way how would you feel if your basketball teammate son grew up to start sleeping and having a relationship with a mother of your child I mean I know it's not Michael's fault his son's a grown man but that's just what it is
Jalousie, or jealousy, is a natural part of life. I believe that without jealousy, the world wouldn't be as interesting or complete. The world needs good, bad, ugly, and perfect elements to be balanced. For example, if you get a chance to speak or explain yourself on a podcast, many people might feel jealous because they wish they had that opportunity. Basically, in two words, I see jealousy as what separates Pippen from Michael Jordan—the GOAT 🐐. That's all.

There is one scene in the last dance where him and Scottie were going golfing afterwards. Pippen was downplaying everything Jordan related during his book tour. They hung out a lot during the dream team playing cards. They worked out together prior to practice. Go watch videos of Pippen talking about Jordan back in the day and their relationship. Jordan even played in Pippen's Charity game after he went to play Baseball. Pippen is just bitter, he doesn't get the love without mentioning Jordan's name because his signature moment without Jordan was when he refused to enter the game

What got me was when Scottie said he purposely did not give mj condolences after his father passed and MJ just thought he was giving him space. That right there is another level of disdain. No coming back after you hear that. Sad
I remember when Pippen visited MJ during a hornets game and they embraced like brothers. MJ was so excited to see him. Pip just is lying because he feels he is better than MJ. Jealousy is never a good look.

LOL Bird all the way. MJ is the best Shooting Guard ever. But his athleticism doesn't make him a well rounded. Bird was a lso a great scorer; a better rebounder, had more assists, a better 3 point shooter, a better leader. It took Jordan 7 years to get a Championship. Bird won his in his second year. And besides, he swept Jordan twice in the playoffs. It was said, that Jordan needed the ball to win the game, Bird didn't. He was a savant. And I hated Bird. I was a Magic, Showtime fan. But I saw Jordan trying to catch them. His leadership ability was not on their level yet.
But this is always been who pippen was. He was always weak and fragile. Jordan always was pippens backbone, like an older brother that kept him from getting bullied. So pippen has abandonment issues and it comes out as resentment towards Jordan. It's like Pippen thinks Jordan owes him something, purely based on the success Jordan still has financially.
