  1. It's a great series, because everywhere I visit, I like to find these little secret mountain ranges… Every country has them… In the french Alps, there are a few like the Devoluy or Bauges, in Norway you got the Sju Søstre or the alpine range on Senja island… They're not secret secret, local people know them quite well. But they're not worthy of a paragraph in a Lonely Planet book or anything… Usually they're just mentionned briefly, if at all.

  2. Planning to do the Ruby Crest Trail in a day outside of summer and then being surprised by snow was quite the choice, but honestly it didn't go so badly. Watching this, I think sometimes I have the tendency to overprepare. I probably worry about conditions more than I need to.

  3. I have loved this series. So many cool people in this one. Elko seems like a really cool little town. Payton is a pretty inspriing athlete and maniac if you're familiar with that style of running. And the little jewelry for Sanni subplot was a nice thread through the series. Alex is, somewhat surprisingly to me, the absolute perfect host for something like this. I really, really hope there's more. Can't have even really scratched the surface of everything Nevada has going on.

  4. He is so handsome! Not because of looks but because of his intelligence, his soft spoken voice and his love for a sport that he gave everything towards. Best of the best! His wife is a lucky lady! They are really cute together! ❤ I am his exact age and when I was younger, my idea of attractive was very different. HE is what I define as a total catch now. Ladies, don’t go for the model bad boy, go for the Alex type!

  5. Knowing when to turn around in the mountains is an important skill and sometimes hard to exercise with external pressures (esp. cameras). Impressed by the good call this trip!
