Kai Trump has been called out for her recent ‘dream job’ announcement

Kai Trump has come under fire once more from fans after revealing that her dream job is to be an influencer.

The U.S. President’s 18-year-old granddaughter only recently had to put out fires after using Secret Service agents as a “vlog prop” in one of her YouTube videos, prompting warnings that the “public will not forget”.

Trump joked about going “bankrupt” as she filled her shopping cart with several items at the ultra-expensive grocery store Erewhon, but was soon called “tone deaf” for the video.

Now, the budding golfer has been called “delusional” and “clueless” for her career aspirations after revealing exactly what she’d like to do for the rest of her life when asked by a fan during an Ask Me Anything (AMA) for her 2.7 million followers on Instagram.

“Literally what I’m doing now,” Trump responded. “Playing golf, social media, entertaining, creating my own business. I think that’s my dream job. Traveling the world, meeting new people, is probably my dream job.”

Unfortunately for the teenager, that didn’t go down well. Given that she clearly has a bright future ahead of her following her acceptance into the University of Miami golf program, fans have been left concerned that she wants to focus her career on social media.

“So basically unemployed. Wonderful dream,” one person sarcastically wrote. “Sorry, honey. I love you. But that’s not a job,” said another. “So just having fun and recording it,” commented a third.

A fourth person spat, “Clueless. Out of touch”, while a fifth added, “Being lazy.” A sixth user then wrote: “Meeting new people and traveling is not work… But what do you expect from a rich kid? As always.”

The reality, though, is that wanting to become an influencer is now the new norm for the younger generation, especially given the financial success it brings and the flexibility to pretty much do whatever you want.

Given that Trump also already boasts millions of followers across her social media platforms (2.7 million on Instagram, 3.7 million on TikTok, 1.47m subscribers on YouTube), it’s no surprise that she wants to continue doing exactly the same thing that she is now.

Trump was also recently slammed for another ‘tone deaf’ video in which she joked about ‘bankruptcy’ during a grocery shop

By the end of last year, it emerged that the aspiring golfer is already earning an estimated $2.5 million annually through modeling contracts, brand endorsements, and social media sponsorships.

Furthermore, she also has a $16 million trust fund established by her family and managed by JPMorgan. As of February 2025, Trump reportedly had a name, image, and likeness valuation of $1.2 million and an overall net worth of $21 million.

The social media personality, however, announced in August 2024 that she is committed to the University of Miami as part of the 2026 signing class for golf and will begin her rookie year this fall.
