The World Tour as you have described it Joel is virtually exactly what Greg Norman wanted in the 90's. He could see that the US were going to steal all the golf from the rest of the world and create their idea of the best golf tour. My experience is that the US PGA is some of the most boring cometary in golf. Let me listen to the DP tour commentators all day as they are far more entertaining. Additionally, the coverage we get from the PGA tour is 3 minutes of Golf and then 5 minutes of looking at the score board and watching a timer telling you when they are coming back to commentate. It can't take that long to take a piss, and do they have to hold hands while doing it? The also, basically only show American players unless an international is in the top 3 on the score board. LIV has shown that Australia is a gold mine for golf. We love it and in the past all the greats used to come out here for the summer Aussie tour and bring their families out for a holiday. Big win for tourism. Now, because the US tour has so many tournaments on through the year they are burnt out and don't want to come. They only know how to play in the US on their tricked up courses. Come out here and play some of the sand belt courses and see the US players brought down a peg or two. Let them play on real golf courses like they have here and in the UK and Ireland. Love your idea of the World Tour that has one tournament a month played for silly money, in a different country, as that's the only thing that will get the American players to jump on a plane and see the world.
I'd also like to see the US have only ONE Major, The US Open. Then have The Open, Australasian Open, The European Open, South American and African Open (shared Biannually), and the Canadian and Japan Open (Shared Biannually) 7 majors. The Masters and the Players are stand alone special events.
