The green jacket. Amen Corner. The most iconic tournament in golf. We break down exactly how The Masters works — the rules, the course, the cuts, and why Augusta National is unlike anything else in sports.
I've been to the masters three times and its an unbelievable experience. But the most impressive thing is the price of food and merchandise. I could not believe how cheap it was. I ordered a turkey sandwich, bag of chips, cookie and a coke and the price was less than $5. I'm still in shock. A masters logo golf towel $10.
Just to add to the video. After each round during the tournament any divots on any tee ground are replaced with new sod as to look like its a brand new tee ground each day. Each grounds crew manages 3 holes for the week. The marshalls that you see on the course holding the quiet please signs gain that position for life or until they quit. They are invited back every year to play the course the last day that Augusta is open. That's right it does close during the summer months. From late May until October the course is closed. The undulation of the greens is so dramatic that sometimes a player may be putting and you can only see their upper torso.
I was lucky enough have my friend win the lottery to get tickets! If you ever get the chance, goooooo! Ive never been to a tournament that is so well run you stop and just marvel at what a machine the tournament is. Also, talked to a couple of the guys in the green jackets walking around, they were so nice, as with everyone you come in contact with….If you are a golfer this is your heaven! This is how every sporting event should be done! Great video, Augusta is amazing. I will say I did spend $1100 in merchandise in 2024!
Great video. I love the Masters. I have mist of them on video from around 1975. Never get tired of watching them. All thr fantastic shots. The skill level of these guys is absolutely beyond belief. I am a 12 handicap. I have played many courses in thd UK and Scotland. I played St. Andrews. That was an experience to be sure. Maybe one year I will be lucky and get a ticket. Anyway thanks again. 😊😊
Thank you for this reminiscence – I attended the Masters in 1990, won by Sir Nick Faldo. I was with my good buddy Peter Senior who was invited to play after winning 3 consecutive events in Australia. We arrived in Augusta on the Friday before and I caddied for him during his 4 practice rounds. I still remember it so clearly and fondly

Appreciate the love on this video. Please like and subscribe so I can afford masters tickets one day 😭
And it's a total shame that white liberal DEMOCRATS want to eradicate and abolish this crown Jewel just because of its name…(The masters)🤷🤷

0:15 lol. It’s few more key reasons it’s unlike the Super Bowl 😂
