I tried out your method the other day. You'd think I'd be happy, getting my money's worth and all. Turns out, I was even more upset with myself. 😂
Some places might let you swing 4 times for 100 dollars and ask you to leave.
I have a clapped out links course near me that is the best bang for your buck. $24 with cart for 18-hole par 3 round. Basically no rules but that does cause some chaos when it is busy 😂. It's so small that the range balls will fall down around you on the back 9. I spent 30mins on one hole just hitting balls back towards the range.

If the game is about consistency I failed big time. I entered a tournament, and in that tournament I win a trophy for longest drive, 310 yds, closest to the pin , 8” from a hole in one on a par 3, and Most Honest Golfer, with a score of 112 for 18 holes.
