For the second time in five years, popular golfer Tiger Woods was involved in a rollover crash.
On Friday, March 27, Woods was driving his Land Rover and allegedly attempted to overtake a turning truck pulling a pressure cleaner at a high rate of speed before clipping the back of the truck. His SUV partially rolled over and slid “for a pretty decent space” before coming to a stop.
With the car driver’s side down, Woods climbed out of the passenger’s side door and didn’t appear to be injured, unlike a 2021 accident that nearly cost the 15-time major champion his right leg.

Following the latest accident, fans implored Woods to hire the services of a driver to help him avoid potentially catastrophic accidents in the future. That’s something the legendary golfer isn’t considering, according to People.
Woods, 50, “doesn’t want anyone to watch over him or know what he is doing,” the source told People. “And he thinks he is fine to drive.” The source adds that Woods prefers to keep his life private and dislikes negative attention.
“He is not a social butterfly and prefers to hang around his home with his kids, or hitting balls, or playing video games,” the source said. “He despises public scrutiny.”
Kevin Kisner, Woods’ teammate on TGL’s Jupiter Links Golf Club, addressed the latest accident during coverage of the Houston Open.
“Very disturbing. He was really working hard on his game, trying to practice and get back in shape,” he said on the CBS broadcast.” He signed up for the U.S. Senior Open yesterday. He was trying to do anything he could to come back and try and help our TGL team, get ready, hopefully try and play the Masters.
“Just a really unfortunate incident, I guess, Brad [Faxon], the only positive is that nobody was injured in the incident and we can all move forward and hopefully help him get better.”
It’s unclear if Woods plans to play in the Masters, which tees off on April 9.
