Tiger Woods involved in car accident, charged with DUI

Martin County Sheriff’s Office gives media an update on Tiger Woods after he was involved in a car accident in Jupiter Island, Florida.

What looked like it would be a head-to-head battle heading into Sunday’s final round at the Texas Children’s Houston Open wound up being a bit of a blowout.

After leading by just one stroke following Saturday’s third round, 41-year-old Gary Woodland wound up winning by five strokes over second-place Nicolai Højgaard, his first win on tour since the 2019 U.S. Open. The victory earned Woodland an invitation to the 2026 Masters tournament as well.

Woodland scored a huge payday just 2.5 years after undergoing brain surgery. It’s a massive victory for someone who has been through a lot of mental struggles as of late.

The title earned him $1.782 million. Not bad, huh? But it’s still not even 20% of the total $9.9 million purse available at the Houston Open. Here’s what each golfer took home at the end of the day.
