Have you ever wondered what the Stack and Tilt golf swing actually is — or why it’s one of the most misunderstood systems in golf instruction? 🤔

In this video, PGA Certified Coach, Tyler Kuhn breaks down the truth about the Stack and Tilt Golf Swing — what it really means, why it helps every golfer, and how you’re probably already using its principles without even knowing it.

Stack and Tilt isn’t a method or a fad — it’s a system for teaching and playing golf built around a 3D model of the swing. Unlike outdated “position-based” instruction, this system defines three dynamic fundamentals that move with your body, not against it. 💡

Through decades of video observation of Tour pros — from Nicklaus and Trevino to Tiger, Rory, and Nelly — we can classify every golf swing based on motion and geometry, not opinion. That’s the real foundation of power, consistency, and pure contact.

Critics of Stack & Tilt have never understood the geometry of the swing — and the golf media didn’t help when a major outlet published (and later retracted) an article that completely misrepresented the system. But here’s the truth:
You’ve been doing Stack & Tilt all along — you just didn’t know it.

In this video, you’ll discover:
🏌️‍♂️ What Stack & Tilt actually is (and isn’t)
⚙️ The 3 dynamic fundamentals that control every ball flight
📐 How 50 years of Tour data prove this system right
🔥 The 10-word blueprint for better golf:
Weight Forward. Hands In. Shoulder Down. Arms Straight. Hips Tucked.
🧠 Why traditional coaching and media got it wrong

This is the golf swing truth that can simplify your motion, increase your power, and help you strike it pure every single time.

  1. I am guessing I took lessons from Mike Bennett in NJ about 25 years ago….and Andy in PA. I thought the method was sound and many of the positions matched static positions of pros…Mike had book of pictures. I ended up not staying with the program because I could not hit the driver with my weight on the front foot. Just recently I saw a video of a stack and tilt lesson saying it's easy to hit the driver….back then there was no Youtube. Anyway, I still question no weight shift. There is so much information now with force plates, swing catalyst that show the pros shift weight. Isn't that undeniable? The reason for my comments is I am considering venturing down the ST rabbit hole again because it does make sense, logically….why move off the ball if you don't have to right? Just confused as it make sense, but I think pros shift weight. If I can see something that says they don't…I am all in. thanks and great content

  2. Ok.I will try it on the field. Its windy here in NJ so will be a good test. Yesterday it was windy and I was hitting half swing wedges and 9 irons very solid. 120+ balls. My distance is not great (age). 90-95 PW and 100-103 9 iron carry against wind 20 mph. But in sweet spot. Its 3:10 p.m. I'll BE BACK and post at around 6:00. Wish me luck.

  3. I studied Stack and Tilt for many years. Went to their schools. Took private instruction too. I just never could perform the Stack and Tilt method, and it dumbfounded my teachers. My swing got worse. The side bending was hard on my body. The more I tried the method, the worse I performed. As much as I like the method, I had to abandon it.

  4. What is confouding and seems to be the vital differentiator is that every great player I've watched interviewed or break down his swing states they all move pressure to trail side in take away/backswing. This alone eliminates Stack and Tilt as as it's basis pressure remains on lead side throughout entire swing according to the book Stack and Tilt by the founders. So this all seems a bit misguided as the basis of what every great golfer does dynamically iwith pressure s the opposite of stack and tilt.

  5. I agree. Truth spoken here. Basically "stack and tilt" has been and continues to be the swing all plus handicaps and touring pros use (to varying exaggerations but the foundation is all the same) He's spot on. How the F do you think touring pros make solid contact every single swing essentially? They are not that talented actually (most of them). But they are smart and practice with the correct fundamentals. Millions of little nuance branches can be learned off of this but that's the main thing. 98% of you all would be a fool if you pass up what he's saying here. Just cause it's simple and you think the answer must be more complicated and a long journey of BS content much of which is designed to confuse you. Remember golf instruction is a for profit business. But some folks like this man have trouble lying. I get that. Good day.

  6. The difference is the shift to the back side. You said under stack n tilt the “preferred “ is no shift to the back leg on the backswing… when the general public thinks of the no shift as the main principle of SNT.
I can see how SNT claims everyone in a way, because almost all high level players shift to the back leg (modern teaching very subtle) and by the end of their backswing the weight is on the front leg…. Not really that different than the SNT concept.

  7. Like the video, and I like the S&T system. I moved a couple of years back from finding I leave too much weight on the trail leg to much more a ‘weight forward’ position. I don’t tell people I use S&T, but I’m in our clubs seniors inter-club team and the captain always comments about my ball striking! The question I do have is, I already have an in-to-out path and worry I’ll get too far inside with S&T, so should the shaft at about P6 (ish) when it is parallel to the ground on the down swing, be slightly inside? Our pro says it should be more parallel with the target line but he isn’t an S&T coach. I moved to certainly ‘weight forward’ even if not full S&T when I stood and watch by a tee box on a DP world event, they all have their weight forward!! Great video.

  8. I'm 52 , been playing since 13. I've tried everything with many lessons, etc. The inconsistency of the golf swing round to round was exhausting. I stumbled across Stack and Tilt about 8 months ago, and it changed my life. I would suggest starting with the fundamentals in a mirror. Do the drills little by little, and you'll quickly find it really works. Don't get discouraged, you're trying to change years of swining a diff way. It even tweaked my back a little but it's golden now. I've never hit the ball so well. Yes, the driver is a little different but works amazing and hybrids hit pure. Good luck to everyone .

  9. Fantastic video. I used S&T after seeing Aaron Baddeley use it, and I wonder why I didn’t stick with it!! I’m 76 now and use parts of it, but you’ve simplified it so much that I’m going to rededicate myself to this system of movement!! I only wished I lived closer to Fossil Creek! I’m at the very far east side of DFW! it’s a day trip with the traffic, etc. Thanks so very much for your videos!!

  10. For years I had a Jimmy Ballard style swing I could flush it consistently on the range and play some good rounds of golf.
But quite often Iunder the pressure of the round or my timing getting slightly off my whole golf game would fall apart. So if the wheels came of during the round or during warm ups I would start using what I called my punch shot swing and it would save my round. Some of my best and most consistent rounds happened while using my punch shot swing.
Then one day a friend of mine said you know your punch shot swing is basically Stack And Tilt and told me to look it up.
Best advice ever and once I switched over to full time Stack and Tilt my golf game has never been better.

  11. Finally got the gist of the swing by taking the club back inside which I was never doing, this has changed the whole concept of shoulder down swing inside. Thanks a million for your great ability to show how to do it properly.

  12. I have used stack and tilt for 4 years and and will never go back I am 64 years old and I play off 8 handicap and hit it further than I ever did keep up the good work and spread the word stack and tilt
