Range balls are good to work on contact, but do NOT use them to work on getting the ball close. They just don’t bite and stop like good balls do.

Are ProV1 better than range balls, for sure yes. Were all your range ball shots hit left of pin where there must have been some down slope, also yes. ProV1 shots all hit right of the pin which appears to be flatter.
