This was a promo for Buick or something if I recall correctly. They “surprised” several groups on the tee like this, and eventually someone put a ball inside Tiger’s and won the car. I think. My recollection is hazy.
But personally I think all the golfers knew what was up before participating. Their acting isn’t great, and I mean who finds a club on a tee like that and their first action is to take a swing with it? But it was a decent bit of content marketing from a brand back when stunts like this were less common.
