In the final round of the 2026 THE PLAYERS Championship, Cameron Young shot 4-under 68, including a birdie on the iconic 17th hole to win his second PGA TOUR title.
The Florida Swing reaches its centerpiece with the 52nd edition of The PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass. The PGA TOUR’s flagship event brings together the game’s biggest stars, including two-time champions Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, with McIlroy returning as the defending champion after capturing the 2025 title in a playoff against J.J. Spaun. Former champions Adam Scott, Justin Thomas and Rickie Fowler are also back in the field. Fresh off his victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Akshay Bhatia arrives with momentum after defeating Daniel Berger in a playoff at Bay Hill. Other inform players include Collin Morikawa, Chris Gotterup, Ludvig Åberg and Cameron Young. With one of the strongest fields in golf and the iconic island-green 17th awaiting, another dramatic week is expected at THE PLAYERS.

Cam Young proved he has serious grit at the Ryder Cup last year, solidified it with the win at Sawgrass. Finished 2nd at St Andrews a few years ago when Cam Smith won it, but Young got an eagle on the 18th hole to try to catch him, he never gives up, he surely will win a major in the next 18 months, I'll be surprised if he doesn't. Great swing, great attitude, great player.
