Great advice as per usual .Regards Gus NZ
I've been thinking of purchasing a proper range finder but the price is a n issue , this with the discount sounds spot on, I'm trusting in your honesty as to how good it is . Garry B in Manchester
I’ve had a Cigman (CTY-800) since Oct ‘23. It was only £69.99 but it’s a great piece of kit.
Great point Andy about club selection. Focusing on rhythm and tempo and not hoping to hit it flush every time has allowed me to enjoy golf even more as well as having a new level of consistency. 🇦🇺🤘🏻🤘🏻
Great advice!!
I admire the simple common sense you present in your content.
Thanks Tim !
I bought the original Shotscope Pro LX kit with the rangefinder and separate GPS unit. Good job I did as I can’t keep the scope unit still enough to fix on the target to get a consistent yardage reading, consequently I now just carry the GPS in my pocket. A quick look at it as I’m on the tee or at my ball, and I have numbers I need. Next screen gives me distances to reach and carry hazards plus layups. I’m not accurate enough to worry the precise location of the pin, middle is plenty good enough. And it helps because I’ve invested some time to know my club yardages and generally club up depending on the conditions. Good advice that, Andy.👍🏻
i think a lot of golfers (myself included) dont compensate for elevation on the golf course. another great video andy 👍
Great video Andy. Keep up the good work pal 👍
I just bought a range finder. I am old school, but I embrace technology. I’ve always wanted to get one of these gizmos and I do own a GPS and love it. I’m not sure, if I need both yardage aids, but I will also know how far to the flag. 🤷♂️👍
Old school until recently. I'm already thinking about yardage, elevation, wind etc as I pick up my bag and walk to where my ball lies. Have rarely needed to do much guessing by the time I'm at the ball. But must admit, the last few yrs of using a Garmin gps watch has allowed me to enjoy the view more than the mental work. Great advice, Andy!
ok,
A ball left in the bunker is not the right yardage, even if you're pin-high. The proper play was to hit it far enough that it flies the bunker even if you hit right at it.
Hey Andy i am trying to decide between the Qi10 Max 3 wood or the PXG Black Ops 3 or 4 wood is your PXG 4 wood going as far as the Qi10 Max 3 wood ? Also what about dispersion of the two i look forward to your opinion great review by the way cheers from Canada
I have tried using a range finder a few times and i just do not care for it I have the Garmin s70 GPS golf watch and i LOVE it to me its faster and close enough for this 7 handicap 59 year old to each their own is what I say good video Andy thx cheers from Canada
Love a bit of tech, but always made the excuse I don't play enough to warrant a rangefinder. But at £74 with your discount code, only holding myself back if I don't. We all love a new bit of kit don't we?
As you say most average golfers don’t hit consistent distances most of the time they are short (and should play the back of the green yardages)and don’t need the pin exactly ,i use a basic handheld garmin which says front middle back which has made it slightly easier and a lot cheaper than most pin seekers
Pick one up from Temu for £14.95( first purchase)..gave me the same yardage as my mates £450 Bushnell..that said I've sold it on because I prefer my Garmin watch..found it very hard to hold the rangefinder steady.
Great video. I would add one thing to your advice. If the pin is back and if there is trouble behind the green, stay with your original club choice.
Andy I have just ordered one using your code and it worked. Hoping that I will soon receive it so I can test it on a golf course. I have planned an (Andy ) trip next week and I am playing St George’s Hill, Reigate Heath and Dorking golf on the same day: 9 holes per course 😊
I am LMAO, Your advice is down to earth and TOTALLY impressive. I am sure that I am violating some politically correct guideline but I am well past that BS. THANK YOU!! I am switching from an armlock putter that I love, (SIK), to a broomstick LAB putter. I too use a range finder with "adjustment" I will NEVER qualify for a sanctioned tournament, but quite enjoy golfing with my friends and "buds". We will never meet, but be well my "friend" and keep up the excellent videos.
Ordered the Cigman rangefinder right away at Amazon, with 20 € discount 🤗👍
or the other way to think about yardages…Always play to the yardage at the back of the green, not the flag.
I prefer my golf watch a quick glance gives me everything. I do go up a club .
Are you going to do a video with your commentator friend to see how he's getting on with his fitted clubs?
15 handicap index, 65 years old. I've used a Garmin S20 for five years…gives me front middle and back. Always use the back distance unless there's danger back there. I've got a hand held range finder, but it takes more effort than a glance at my wrist. I do believe in course management and correct club selection, to a point 🙂
Here's some fun. When you're playing with your group, check the yardages you get from everybody's laser, GPS (unit, watch, phone app), and you'll see how many different yardages you'll see! LOL! And if you check the yardages by walking off the monuments, see all the differences.
Just got my Cigman and used the code got it for £73. Works just as well as the far more expensive one. Cheers Andy for a good review and the discount code.
😂
Just this minute ordered the cigman ct-1000 for £66 direct from Cigman. Bargain
