Can the Cobra OPTM driver truly be as good as they are promising ? Can it be just as fast as DS Adapt but even MORE forgiving? DS Adapt is the best driver I’ve hit in a long time, so for the Cobra OPTM to replace it in my golf bag… it has to be THAT MUCH better!

I'm gaming an Aerojet LS which I love but curious if a DS-ADAPT or Optum is worth an upgrade.
I like the OPTM but from this video alone the DS sounds and looks sooo much better. Your original video is what made be switch from the TaylorMade Qi35 to the DS Adapt max k. Great content!

I tested optm I hate the sound and not a fan of the feel. The ds ls feels like a forged iron and sounds incredible. I actually went with the quantum triple diamond incredible driver with 6x in it

Great video, this was very helpful and informative. I hit all the new drivers and was shocked at how forgiving the LS was. It’s definitely a different sound/feel but I like it. Very powerful!
Cobra is so underrated.
I probably won't try OPTM over my DS Adapt X, but you never know. On the range, there was definitely a difference in the sound.

I don't mind the optm sound. Has that early 2000 driver era ping. But I'm cheap, and a 2nd hand DS-ADAPT is tempting.
I feel like Adapt needed to go into A3 setting as well to verify you were in the right setting to begin with

LTDx LS has been in my bag since '22. I plan to try the OPTM LS for fun, but don't have the budget for a new club given the economy and kids. But, LTDx LS has been amazing and truly a rocket launcher.
Basically same experience. Never hit a Cobra product until this year when I tried the OPTM. Coming from an AI Smoke, the OPTM felt game changing. My misses didn't miss as much and I even picked up some speed. Definitely going in the bag.

Just curious if you could mute the sound a touch with a little hot melt. I've been very against buying new drivers because speed has been maxed for like forever now, however. I'm liking this idea of the adjustability of that Cobra set up. There's been lots of times where I'm adjusting my Titleist and would like something in between an available setting. A year in now I wonder what the availability is of shaft options in the aftermarket realm. Just trying to max out the most bang for my buck.
Put a little Q tip cotton in the optm, mutes the higher pitches without changing swing weight
You are braver than me. I hate the shiny black and the sound and feel, but love the performance of the OPTM LS. I'm hoping the 2027 Cobra Driver will come in matte black and have better sound and feel while keeping the OPTM performance. Keeping my DS-Adapt LS for another season. Man, Rickie was whacking some foul balls with his OPTM X at Pebble Beach on Sunday — not only missing the fairway, but over the cliff.. ….just makes me wonder how bad those wayward mishits were…
Did you change any of the weight positions or was that just stock?
Loving my Optm LS so far, got a Tensei 1k in it. Generally hit a draw and my cuts get real spinny, but this just holds its flight so much better than anything else I’ve used

I got the optm ls when it came out. First range session it was super muted and sounded really good. Played a round a week later and it sounded like yours. Really loud. I think the head is meant to be quiet so something was not right with my head and I took it back. Cobra told me it should be muted.
