AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – After nearly three and a half decades at one Amarillo golf course, a familiar face is stepping away. Alan Coe, the longtime PGA director of golf at Tascosa Golf Club, is retiring after a memorable career that has helped shape the local golf community.
Surrounded by family, friends and longtime members, Coe was honored with a retirement celebration at Tascosa Golf Club.
A career built on relationships
For 34 years, Coe served as the club’s PGA director of golf, overseeing tournaments, daily operations and major events. His dedication has been recognized with the 2023 and 2025 Patriot Awards from the Northern Texas PGA.
Coe reflects on 34 years at Tascosa
As he prepares for his next chapter, Coe said being part of Tascosa for so many years has meant everything to him and his family.
“It’s everything. I mean, my kids now are in their late 30s, so they were 3 and 5 when we moved here. So they were raised out here at Tascosa, and like I stated in talking to the members earlier, that all of the members are so kind, and they have supported us all 34 years,” Coe said.
Coe expressed gratitude for the support he received from the club’s membership throughout his career.
“And without that, we wouldn’t be here today. But it means so much for the membership to support us like this,” he said.
