ROCHESTER, Minn. (KIMT) – Well it may be the perfect time to break those clubs out of the attic as Oak Summit Golf Course has opened its gates to the Rochester Community.

The family owned course is usually one of the first to open this early in the season in southeast Minnesota.
“40 degrees is kind of our limit,” said Oak Summit’s Head Golf Professional, Nate Petric. “anything over 40 degrees, we’re open. So we’re usually one of the first courses open in southeast Minnesota.”

Built in 1992, Oak Summit Golf Course is located on County Road 16 SW, near the Rochester International Airport. The course is open seven days a week, from 6AM-9PM.
Melting snow and incoming rain may make some parts of the course muddy, so watch your step if the ball lands in the rough.
