DSM Chamber hosting ‘Mini Golf Open’ benefiting DMARC Food Pantry

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Des Moines Chamber of Commerce is hosting a ‘Mini Golf Open’ with proceeds benefiting the DMARC Food Pantry.

The event is being held at the Des Moines Scottish Rite Consistory, in downtown Des Moines, on March 7. The first tee time is at 9 a.m., with the final tee time set for noon. The chamber says each hole will be designed using everyday items that are currently used and needed by the pantry.

Participants are instructed to bring needed items for the DMARC Food Pantry as the “entry fee.” Non-perishable food items, including canned goods, baby food or formula, cereals, peanut butter, and non-meat proteins, are encouraged. Also listed are several non-food items, including toilet paper, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and personal hygiene items.

The chamber of commerce says space is limited and tee times will be assigned based on arrival. Participants should provide their own putter and ball.
