Few years back I saw an Instagram story from these guys. Thought it was interesting way to mark scores. Each symbol is a self-explanatory score to Par. Easy to add and review throughout your round yet hides a bad number. I especially like the ⚠️ for double bogeys which I might change to frowny faces? What should an Eagle be? Hole in ones?

The way I golf it would look like hieroglyphics

  2. Chick22694

Counterpoint, numbers are also self explanatory.

Is that the unlimited ammo code for GTA:SA?

  4. Fancy-Dark-9323

Personally, I use triangles for eagles and double boxes for double bogeys.

Japanese tours use this in the scoring on their websites. It’s dope.

And you just happened to shoot level par?

Now if only everyone played from those recommended tees we’d be blasting through the round in 3.5 hours max!

What’s an 8 on a par 3 look like? Asking for a friend

Why is Birdie circle and Bogey square?

To me it doesn’t seem self explanatory as I needed to follow some clues. For whatever reason, I counted the number of sides on the shape, which represented the strokes over par.

This is stupid. Just use numbers. Stop trying to be cute

    I just use 1, 2, – or -1 circled
The – is par..haven’t had to use -2 yet since I started keeping score this way

  13. I just put the score and do some very basic math.

Nico and Bryan make a lot of eagles. Impressive.

  15. I just keep a running tally in small writing on each change. If I bogey #1, let’s say it’s par 4, I’m writing 4 and then a tiny +1. If I’m par on the next 3 holes, no tiny numbers. Then I birdie #5, I write a tiny E.

At the end of each 9, I already know my score to par and just write that. No math really

I’m drunk and stupid can someone give me a key to decipher this?

Put the number of strokes in the square. For every stroke over par make a small dot at the top of the square. For every stroke under par make a dot at the bottom of the square. After nine holes add the top dots, from that subtract the bottom dots and add the total to 36. Example: 4 bogeys and a birdie means 4 -1 = 3 dots over plus 36 = 39. You can do it as fast as you read the sentence.

I just can’t comprehend getting a 4 and putting a heiroglyph and then coming up with some new math to figure out what the number is for it. Just write the number down, add the numbers, post the total number ffs

Can’t hide. Gotta train that mental game too.

God damn. I literally just write what the score was in relation to par. 0, 1, -1 etc. I look at it like a baseball game. Gotta throw up some zeros (par), don’t give up runs (bogeys) and get some runs on the board (birdies, eagles)

Fix a problem that doesn’t exist.

    Could always just write -1, 0, +1, +2

    Weird.
