MELBOURNE, Fla.- The St. John’s women’s golf team finished out the Space Coast Classic on Sunday at Duran Golf Club.
The Johnnies registered a 21-over, 309, during the third round in Melbourne, Fla., to claim ninth place in the 13-school field. Over 54 holes, the Red Storm posted a team score of 51-over, 915, in its first even of the spring campaign.
Dartmouth took home the team title carding a 3-under, 861, to win the event by nine strokes. Emory’s Zimo Li took home individual medalist honors after shooting 6-under, 210, over three rounds.
Kelly Wu finished tied for 35th place logging a 12-over, 228, over three rounds of competition. The senior had her best round of the weekend on Sunday posting a 2-over, 74, in the final round. Laura Mizlerova tied with Wu for 35th place logging the same score after recording a 5-over over two rounds yesterday. Lily Huynh placed 42nd overall shooting a tournament score of 14-over, 230.
The Johnnies will be back in action at the UNCW River Landing Classic on March 2-3.
