  1. Those greens look like they are made out of wet clay. So receptive. I thought US Opens were known for the icy fast, hard greens and the thick rough? Even with rain!

  2. Any green, major or non, will be receptive with rain. Masters greens will be as receptive as Oakmont with rain.

  3. I started watching the event to see Hovland..After like 2 hours they showed him put once, so i stopped watching. He and Scott were second last group and up at the top, but they just kept showing the same ppl and ppl being +11 etc lol..Great work PGA..Not

  4. Nice to see a major golf channel actually doing highlights correctly for a change, with the score. The fact that the PGA championship highlights didn’t have scores after hundreds of people were complaining was crazy.

  5. Look at that rough. The grounds keepers and the management must be sadists. What a sad day for USGA. This isn't golf, this is just sadistic cruelty by people who should know and behave better. Too bad the pros can' boycott Oakmont.

  6. Fast tabletop greens, long rough, strategically placed bunkers, the ultimate test of golf. I am sure all those things are true. BUT the course is UGLY. I mean UUUUUUUUGGGGGGLLLLLYYYY. No matter how much the commentators say how beautiful the course is my eyes tell me something different. The Pennsylvania Turnpike runs right through the middle of the course. ARE YOU KIDDING ME????!!!!! It looks like my local municipal course that was built on abandoned airport runways. NOT impressed to say the least.

  7. IN MY 50 YEARS OF WATCHING THE PGA THIS RANKS AS THE WORST OPEN TOURNAMENTS I HAVE SEEN,PRO LOOKING LIKE AMATURES NOT GOOD

  8. USGA need to step up, the second-last flight with Hovland and Scott got nearly no screen-time, just because of a dodgy start from Hovland. These guys are really fighting for the title…

  9. HEY – @PGATOUR —- TAKE NOTES

See how they don't plaster the winner all over the thumbnails? And announce the winner in the title? The same day as an event?

  10. Why even show McIlroy? He doesn’t deserve any highlight after his behavior nor his play…
This is a rhetorical question btw 🙂

  11. For the love of golf do not let the PGA ever run highlights. At least cross train so we get good highlights everyother week as well cause these have been nothing short of amazing!!

  12. Don’t like this course Set up at all. Course looks fun and challenging but this set up, unplayable rough, fairway bunker lips so high you have to pitch out. This set up is a TEST for who can DRIVE it the Best. THATS it.
    Best Driver wins.
Without even looking I’ll guarantee that the top guys can be anywhere on the board in putts made, up and down from bunkers etc…etc…
But they must be top in driving accuracy.
    Like DJ won in 2016.
Drove it BEST, was ok in everything else. Putting not even that great. He wins.
    It’s a stupid set up.
I guess you guys get all excited when pros shoot over par.
To me it’s boring. Everyone tapping in for par and bogey.
No birdies at all. No one can come back from 6 down.
Only way to come back is if the leader Drives into the rough.
Again, it’s a Driver Test only.
    It’s lame.

  13. Kind of boring, just great approaches and putts. The humans amongst us are also interested in struggles in the rough, not clearing bunkers, and impossible lies.

  14. These announcers are so biased towards the "big name" golfers that it's become ridiculous. The announcers come out of their chairs when the top ranked golfers make great shots but don't even really react when lesser known golfers make brilliant shots. So stupid.
