I’ve been getting ideas off this sub for about two years. Figured it was time for me to post my setup. Here are the answers to the questions I see frequently asked.

Room is 24×24. Ceiling is peaked at 12’ and 10’ at the side walls. All walls are insulated. Mini split is a breeze33. Had it built specifically for the simulator, but also allowing for other uses by the next owner.

Behind the computer is an overhead garage door with side mounted opener and raised rails. Behind the chairs is a double wide door into the original uninsulated pole barn where all our lawn crap and workbench resides.

Screen is 9’ x 12’. It is on the SIG 12 enclosure including the floor kit. Floor kit is pricey but it is nice assuming you don’t want to do-it-yourself. Hitting area is about 10’ from screen. Sigpro softy strip sits flush with the floor. Between the tension on screen and the floor material, decent shots usually roll right back onto the hitting strip. Very few balls end up off the area covered by the flooring.

Launch monitor is Protee VX. Hangs just under 8.5’ from floor and about 3.5 feet in front of middle of hitting strip.

I use a Panasonic projector about 9’ high and 17’ from screen.

I run GSPRO on an Acer Nitro 5 laptop.

Use a Roxor control box and a trackball both sitting on a stand convenient to the hitting area.

Middle theater seat is about 8’ behind middle of hitting strip.

Since walls and ceiling are all metal, I have used a LOT of magnets to hold things and to minimize the number of holes I had to make. I can’t guarantee your safety if you have a metal plate in your head!

Glad to answer any questions or hear your suggestions.
