went down a massive hill to catch one fish turned and a warden was right behind me asked for my lic i said its in the truck we arrived i did not find it so i told him its in my box tackle we went back down then back up mi was trying to get in shape at the time so sweat on him i did find he gave up said here is a ticket i smiled went back to tge spot a one big one caught

I just want to say not all game wardens are bad. Some are driven to be game wardens by a very pure place. My friend was a biologist for the state of CA doing water sampling. Because he had to go to rural places and do water testing he was always running into families of people poaching absurd amounts of fish. After years of this and being fed up by it he signed up to be a game warden and is in the academy now. Dude really cares about animals and the environment and he’s just out there to catch the people abusing natural resources.
Was fishing in Colorado many years ago on a body of water that didn't allow live bait. Was looking for a spot and there was a container of night crawlers in perfect condition sitting on a rock. Started doing the math and eventually a game warden appeared.
Another time on the Guadalupe River in Texas my buddy and I were on a boat and I tossed a small cigar stub in the water. 10 seconds later a warden came racing up on a boat creating a huge wake and was looking for litter.
Technically, game wardens are sneaky snakes.
