Min Woo Lee let his frustrations get the better of him on a wind-battered Saturday at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Lee will start Sunday’s final round five shots behind leader Akshay Bhatia but the Australian could’ve been much closer if not for some tricky late weather conditions.

After his eagle on the par-5 14th at Pebble Beach, the wind picked up at the famous Monterey Peninsula course.
The blustery conditions saw Lee drop a shot on the 17th hole and then fire his drive on the 18th way right.
He was forced to take a drop and then could only find a bunker with his approach.
And as he made it to the green, the wind gusts ratcheted up again, meaning a clearly frustrated Lee backed off from hitting his par putt several times, refusing to finish his round despite players waiting behind.

The crowds around the 18th green began to jeer the Aussie and he could be heard swearing as he eventually pushed his putt wide and had to settle for another bogey.
Lee then lobbed his ball into the Pacific Ocean to round off a tumultuous hole which took over 30 minutes to complete.
CBS commentator Jim Nantz couldn’t help but aim a little dig at Lee over his pace of play issues.
He said from the booth: “We’ve got a wind gauge in the tower here and it’s gusting close to 30 (MPH) now.
“The way this storm is coming in, if he wants to wait to hit this, he’s going to have to wait until Thursday…”
Addressing his annoyance after the round, Lee said: “I understand I have to hit the putt but when the ball is fully oscillating, it’s just hard to pull the trigger.

“When there’s big gusts coming, it’s just tough. I want to, it’s just so hard to do that.
“Those last two holes were pretty breezy, tomorrow is going to be tough so year, it is what it is.”
He added: “We’ll see how it goes tomorrow but it’s just one of those things, everyone’s going to be in it.
“I played really good, other than obviously the last two holes. Just a tough finish, I guess.
“It’s breezy, I mean, it not easy. It’s just one of those where you wish you played better but I don’t know, it is what it is.
“The last few tournaments have been very calm so it is somewhat new to us, this wind.
“We’ll probably hit a few shots after today and get ready to go again.”
While Lee struggled, Collin Morikawa enjoyed a return to form, shooting a stunning 10-under 62 on Saturday to vault up to second on the leaderboard.

The two-time major winner has not claimed victory since the 2023 Zozo Championship but is just two shots behind Bhatia.
“Ball was going where I wanted, putts were dropping when I needed them,” Morikawa said.
“I just never got ahead of myself. This game is stressful enough and I think I make it even more stressful for whatever reason.
