WVU Athletics announced the golf team’s practice facility at Pete Dye Golf Club will be renamed the Meredith Family Golf Performance Center, per a release Thursday.

The announcement comes after a “generous gift” from Rob and Susan Meredith.

“I want to thank Rob and Susan Meredith for their generosity and dedication to our golf program,” Vice President and Director of Athletics Wren Baker said in the release. “The Meredith Family Golf Performance Center provides our student-athletes with the ability to train and stay competitive year-round in any weather condition, and the beautiful facility at the Pete Dye Golf Club has made a positive impact and strengthened WVU golf.”

The facility, which opened in 2024, cost $5 million to build and is considered “one of the most exquisite in the country,” according to the release.

“The Meredith family is yet another example of the amazing support and generosity of proud Mountaineers,” WVU Golf Head Coach Sean Covich said in the release. “Their help with our new team facility at Pete Dye continues to put our program in position to have success.”

WVU Golf will compete next from Feb. 14-15 in the Gators Invitational at Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Florida.
